Keyboard and Mouse¶
Every key and mouse gesture the editor responds to. On macOS, use Cmd in place of Ctrl.
Shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a text field and while a dialog is open.
Global¶
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Undo | Ctrl+Z |
| Redo | Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y |
| Roads workspace | 1 |
| Objects/Signals workspace | 2 |
| Linkage workspace | 3 |
| Delete the selected object or signal | Del or Backspace |
| Leave the object placement tool | Esc |
Del removes only objects and signals. Roads, lane sections and lanes are deleted from the panel on the right, which asks for confirmation first.
Canvas¶
| Action | Input |
|---|---|
| Zoom around the cursor | Mouse wheel |
| Pan the view | Drag on an empty part of the canvas |
| Fit the whole map in view | Fit in the toolbar |
Drawing roads (RoadLine tool)¶
| Action | Input |
|---|---|
| Add a point | Click |
| Add a straight segment regardless of the chosen type | Shift + Click |
| Finish the road | Double-click, or right-click → Finish road editing |
| Discard the line being drawn | Esc |
A double-click places its first click as the last point; the second click only finishes the road. After Esc the RoadLine tool stays active, so you can start the next road straight away.
